The 4-star hotel Dorint Hotel & Sportresort Winterberg in the Sauerland region has been digitally upgraded. The hotel, which is popular with winter sports enthusiasts as well as hiking admirers and nature lovers, will not only delight its guests with numerous sports and wellness offers as well as perfect service, but also with smart and innovative digital helpers. The wishes of the guests were always at the centre of the hotel’s digitization. A decisive factor in the selection of the digitization partner was the ease of use for employees and guests as well as the fact that all digital solutions harmonize with each other.
Digitization on 42.000m²
For Mr. Michel Vogel, General Manager of the hotel, digitization is a very important topic and a key part of his work. ” Digitization has enormous potential. Digital helpers help us to fulfil the wishes of our guests even better. In addition, it is almost impossible in a resort of 42,000 square meters to control everything manually or to be a contact person everywhere at the same time,” says Vogel. The Dorint Hotel & Sportresort Winterberg/Sauerland has now installed five digital solutions from Betterspace.
360° Digitalization in the Hotel
In 125 rooms, holiday houses and apartments, but also in public areas, restaurants and offices, the solutions offer added value for guests and employees. In addition to a hotel-specific WLAN hotspot solution and a modern VoIP telephone system, a digital guest directory, a smart conference control system and the Smart Home System for hotels iQ Roomcontrol are in use. Thanks to the smart room control iQ Roomcontrol, which controls radiators in the hotel independently of personnel, it is no longer necessary, for example, to control radiators. This relieves the staff and gives them more time for guests.
